"In honor of Autism Acceptance Month, Plymouth South High School students Serenity and Jordan shared the book 'All My Stripes' with our youngest learners in the Panther Cubhouse this morning.
The story sparked a thoughtful conversation about the idea that 'different is not less.' Together, they discussed how each of us has unique ways of thinking, learning, and playing - and how kindness, respect, and helping is so important in a friendship. Something we found so natural for this Cubhouse crew!
Serenity and Jordan are familiar with many books from their book study in Human Behaviors class about autism, and how having a conversation can be so helpful in young children learning empathy and understanding for themselves and others."
Thank you Mrs. Wolfe and the STRIVE Department at PSHS for sharing this beautiful moment! ♥️♾️
