Students were tasked with reciting two poems in two separate rounds, and were judged based on their accuracy, voice and articulation, physical presence, interpretation, evidence of understanding, and overall performance. Congratulations to first-place winner, Evan Johnson, and runner-up, Michaela DerKinderen! Evan will be competing in the Massachusetts Poetry Out Loud Semifinals on Cape Cod in early March.
